AND THAT’S A WRAP ON OUR 2026 SEASON! 🏐🏑

And what a season it was for Glenside Gaelic Club! 💚🖤

187 registered players — our highest number EVER! And that was only the beginning.

From our first-ever GGC Féile team 🇮🇪 to tournaments and friendlies near and far, a fantastic week of Irish Culture & Sports Camp, Liberty Bell, CYC Philly and three of our players being selected for the inaugural USGAA Ladies Minor Team — 2026 gave us so much to celebrate.

But more than anything, this season was about our players. Watching new players pick up a football or hurl for the first time, returning players grow in confidence, friendships form, teams come together and our kids proudly pull on that green & black jersey — that’s what it’s all about. 

A HUGE thank you to our incredible coaches, board members, players, parents, families, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who make this club what it is. And thank you to the Philadelphia Youth Board and Adult Boards for everything they do to keep Gaelic games growing and thriving in Philadelphia.

Our board might take a week or two off 😉… and then it’s right back to work planning 2027!

And we’re already excited about what’s ahead — more games, more competition, more tournaments, more travel, more fun and plenty more memories.

Keep spreading the word about Glenside Gaelic Club! New players are ALWAYS welcome, whether you’ve grown up with Gaelic games or have never picked up a football or hurl before. Our amazing coaches will teach you!!

We will have indoor sessions in January, early registration for our season will begin in March with the season beginning the first week in May! 

And if life, another sport, or an injury kept you away this year, we’d LOVE to see you back on the pitch in 2027. Once Glenside, always Glenside. 💚🖤
